"Superb"
This is a country lodge. The staff is wonderful... But remember, up early... Good too bed early. This ain't no fancy city hotel, this is down home wonderful family owned place to stay within a mile off everything you need. Say hi the staff from Robert.

Do not listen to the 1 in 2 stars about this hotel it exceeded my expectations for a cheaper quick one night stay. It was clean it was spacious doors locked water was not interact with the staff much but they were courteous and smiling.

Pleasantly surprised that the room was very clean. Appeared to be freshly painted and like bathroom was newly renovated. Glad to see a vinyl floor vs carpet which is impossible to keep clean. Nice to have soap and shampoo/conditioner.

I loved the character of the holiday lodge. Our room was the wells fargo room. Historically, Grass valley was a great mining and timber location. The hotel reflected this. The staff was friendly and our room made me smile

The check in time is flexible so for travelers, its great. The staff was friendly. The pool is clean and nicely cared for. They allow pets for an additional fee of $50 per stay.

Older Hotel on a quite road. Room was fairly spartan with the vinyl plank flooring so popular but which I don't care for. Bathroom was recently remodeled with newer toilet and shower. Sink and cabinet just ok. Had a clean microwave and mini-fridge. Bathroom counter had a little 2 cup coffee maker and several mini-bags of coffee. For me the bed was a little firm and I think maybe a king size bed should have 4 pillows not 3. The decor of the room was a little funky and eclectic. Price was good for a clean, quite, comfy place to sleep for the night.
